Roe left bewildered

Eire Og manager Pat Roe is at a loss as to why his side have failed to find their form in the championship so far.

Despite this, they have qualified for the quarterfinals following their third straight victory in the group stages, a laboured 0-11 to 1-07 win over Kildavin-Clonegal.

Roe admitted to the Carlow Nationalist that his charges have yet to hit top form and knows that there in last chance saloon from here on in.

"We got the win. It has been a constant struggle," said Roe. "That is our third championship game and every one of them has been a struggle.

"I thought we played a lot of football but our execution wasn't good. We had several chances before they got their goal and we didn't do it."
