Carlow GAA has apologised for tweeting about how players are being forced to decide between GAA and soccer.
On Thursday evening, the official Carlow GAA twitter account (@Carlow_GAA) shared a text message that one of their underage coaches had received from a parent of a player warning that he would be dropped from the Carlow/Kilkenny FC U15s if he continued to play any form of GAA.
The tweet - which has since been deleted - generated plenty of discussion on social media but the Barrowsiders issued an apology last night…
TweetCarlow GAA's Coaching & Games Staff wish to apologise for our original social media post yesterday evening. We apologise unreservedly to Parents & Player in question.
