August 22, 2008
The Laois County Board are hoping to have a new manager to replace the departed Liam Kearns in place by the end of next month. The deadline for club nominations within the O'Moore County for the job close at next Monday night's board meeting, and it is hoped that a manager will be installed for the quarter-finals of the county senior championship, September 19-21. This Monday's meeting is by board vice-chairman Alan Langton as a chance to start with clean slate in the county. "I would like there to be a critical self analysis of where we are - from players, to the officials to the clubs - and this is the best time to do that, when there isn't anyone in the job," Langton.
