Kildare's Glen Ryan
Kildare legend Glenn Ryan is understood to have made the shortlist of both Cavan and Laois as the two counties search for new managers for next season. Ryan, who led his native county's Under 21 side to a Leinster title and All-Ireland final this year, is said to be among the names sought by the two counties whom both had saw their respective managers depart after exiting the All-Ireland SFC last month. Donal Keogan's decision to step down as Cavan boss after two years at the helm has saw the Cavan County Board turn to the recruitment company Sportstracker in order to pin down a number of candidates. It is understood that the Board have also received five names from nominations compiled from voting clubs within the county. Former Fermanagh boss Dominic Corrigan and ex-Antrim manager Jody Gormley have came into the frame, as to have local managers Terry Hyland, Tony Brady and former player Stephen King. Laois, who saw their manager Liam Kearns leave after the loss to Limerick in the qualifying rounds, are still awaiting the final nominations from clubs within their county with Sean Dempsey and Pat Roe fancied to head the nominees' list.
