Croker to bypass counties
July 31, 2008
Four of this year's All-Ireland SFC quarter-finalists will not be playing their matches at Croke Park, the Competitions Control Committee has stated.
Members moved to clarify that all of this weekend's round four of the qualifiers are being played at Croker because some teams won't get a chance next week to play at headquarters.
"That is exactly the situation," Chairman of the CCC Jimmy Dunne confirmed. "Some of the teams wouldn't have played there before."
However Dublin have been granted a stand-alone quarter-final fixture for Saturday week, August 9th.
