Bruff GAA notes

July 21, 2008
There was no jackpot winner for last weeks lotto so the draw for Thursday July 24th is worth 2,300 Euro. Our Minor hurlers recently played Patrickswell in the championship and all though they fought hard and played well, it wasn't to be their day and Patrickswell went on to win by 1-18 to 0-11. The Junior footballers player their second round of the championship on Sunday night against Castletown Ballygran in Bruff. It turned out to be a one sided game as Bruff ran out comfortable winners and now have two wins under their belt. They face Knockainey next on Thursday week in what should be a very tight game. This Friday the Minor footballers will take on Knockainey in Knockainey at 7:30pm and on Sunday the Intermediate hurlers will play Murroe Boher in the replay of the Division 3 league play off to see who will be crowned winners of that division. The game has been fixed for Kilteely at 7:30pm, please support. Congratulations to John Cooke and Sean Kiely who were members of the Limerick Senior football team that beat Meath in the championship qualifiers last Saturday. Limerick will now play Kildare in Limerick this Saturday at 7pm, best of luck boys and also to Bobby O'Brien who has been called into the squad for this match. It's great news for our club to have three players representing their county at senior level. The club would also like to thank all those who helped in any way at the recent Hurling Summer Camp held at the GAA field. There were a large number of kids in attendance and a great time was had by all. A reminder that all the clubs latest news, photo's, new range of club gear and much more can be seen on www.bruff.limerick.gaa.ie
