Non-committal from Limerick board

July 18, 2008
The Limerick County Board has refused to be drawn on the future of senior hurling manager Richie Bennis. There is uproar in the county following the manner of the team's exit from this year's championship race, and chairman Liam Lenihan says matters have yet to be resolved: "We won't rush into any decision. A period of mature reflection is needed. "The management team's term was up after the Offaly game so now we will meet and then we will discuss it at the next County Board meeting on August 12. "Everyone is very downbeat - if you go down fighting, it's one thing."
