In the Senior Football championship we were unfortunately defeated by Fr.Caseys of Abbeyfeale on a scoreline of 1-14 to 0-10.
With 10 minutes into the second half the teams were tied 0-08 apiece but unfortunately the men from the West pulled away at the end. In the Junior B Hurling championship we had a good win on Monday night defeating Abbey Sarsfields 3-13 to 3-05 with strong performances from all concerned, scorers were Greg O'Connor 1-05, J.Togher 1-04, D.Geary 0-02, Colm McCarthy 0-01, L.Nihill 1-01, G.Quinlivan 0-01.
Unfortunately we were defeated by the narrowest of margins by Patrickswell in Under 16 Hurling 2-12 to 2-11. This Friday evening in the Minor Hurling championship Claughaun face Killulta Gaels at Kildimo at 7.15pm and your support is requested.
This years summer camp which caters for 7 year olds up to 13 year olds takes place next Monday at our grounds at Childers road and anyone interested should contact Ger Hannon or any committee meeting. This summer camp is a five day event and will run until Friday 25th.
This week sees the busters for this years Dog night being distributed and we ask everyone for their support. This is a very important fund raiser for the club, and busters cost ?10 and are available from all committee members.
There was no winner of this weeks club lotto with the jackpot now standing at ?6,000 with the next draw taking place at the clubhouse bar Monday 21st and all are very welcome to attend.
