Limerick hurling boss Richie Bennis says the return to the county squad of the likes of Brian Geary, Donie Ryan and Wayne McNamara is just the boost the Shannonsiders need ahead of their tilt with Offaly in the All-Ireland SHC qualifiers on Saturday night.
"We have a clean bill of health - it's the first time since I have been involved that we have a clean bill of health - and it's a start," Bennis enthused. We think we are back on track; we had a few good training sessions since the defeat.
"And the players want to get the thing back on track again as well. We are glad to have a game now to see how far we have come and Offaly will provide formidable opposition.
"Our target was the Munster final and we had two matches to try and get a trophy in the cupboard - but that never happened so we have to go back the other way."
