In the Minor Football championship we had a great win on Sunday evening against Ballybrown on a scoreline of 2-10 to 2-07. This was a well contested match with a strong showing by our players across all sectors of the field.
Unfortunately in the Minor Hurling championship we were defeated by South Liberties on the tightest of scorelines 09 to 0-08. We also suffered a defeat in the Under 14 Football championship by Patrickswell 8-05 to 4-01. At half-time the scoreline was 4-04 to 3 goals but the wind and weather increased in the second half against our lads, but to their credit they kept their heads down and battled on to the very end.
The Senior Football championship match against Fr.Caseys was called off last week due to a water-logged pitch in Askeaton. This Friday sees our Minor Hurlers take on Naomh Bríd, with our Junior B Hurlers taking on Abbey Sarsfields next Monday @ 7.45 at Childers road.
Also on Monday our U16 Hurlers take on Patrickswell in Patrickswell. With two underage County quarter finals recently played at Claughaun it was great to see Jason O Dwyer refereeing.
There was no winner of this weeks club lotto with the jackpot now standing at ?5,900 with the next draw taking place at the clubhouse bar Monday 14th agus tá fáilte roimh gach duine.
The very best of luck to the Limerick Senior Hurlers against Offaly this Saturday and also to the Limerick Senior Footballers next week against Meath. Luimneach go brách.
