Walsh Park to undergo pitch inspection
July 05, 2008
A pitch inspection will take place at Walsh Park this morning to determine if the All-Ireland hurling qualifier clash between Waterford and Antrim can go ahead at the venue.
Heavy rain in recent days has left the pitch at the Waterford city venue waterlogged. However, Waterford officials were hopeful on Friday evening that the pitch would be playable.
"We'll not panic yet," Waterford spokesman Joe Cleary said.
"A dry night would clear it up."
