McIntosh returns for hurlers

Tyrone have received a boost ahead of their Nicky Rackard Cup clash with Monaghan on Saturday as former captain Terry McIntosh has returned to the fold. McIntosh's experience will be vital to the Red Hand County's chances of winning the championship and with Tyrone almost certain to be in the quarterfinals, they can look forward with an air of optimism. Following last weekend's dramatic win over Donegal, all attention turns towards Saturday's match against Monaghan and assistant manager Ciaran Maloney is delighted to have McIntosh back fit. "Terry's return is not only a massive boost for the team but it has also lifted Kevin and myself. He was unable to play today because of a knee injury, but the fact that he's back has provided the entire squad with a timely lift," said Maloney to the Tyrone Times.
