Waterford duo to miss Antrim clash
July 01, 2008
Seamus Prendergast and Aidan Kearney have been ruled out of Waterford's All-Ireland hurling qualifier against Antrim on Saturday at Walsh Park.
Centre forward Prendergast has a shoulder injury, while defender Kearney is recovering from an appendix operation. However, Ken McGrath could make his return to the side after recovering from keyhole surgery on his knee which forced him to sit out the ill-fated Munster SHC first round defeat to Clare.
Antrim suffered a 26-point drubbing at the hands of Galway last weekend, but new Waterford manager Davy Fitzgerald believes the scoreline didn't do them justice.
He said: "Antrim were level with Galway well into the first half on Saturday. We're expecting a tough game off them because their pride will be hurt."
