Lee says transferring training form to matches is the key
June 27, 2008
Highly-rated Galway defender John Lee says if the Tribesmen can bring the same intensity to matches that the panel brings to training, they will be hard to stop this year.
Lee is fulsome in his praise of the intensity team-manager Ger Loughnane has brought to bear on the county's training sessions but is unsure as to the reasons why the county can't transfer such intensity to match situations:
"If we could produce what we do in training in matches we would be an unbelievable team," said the rising star.
"The training sessions are brilliant and the scoring rates and intensity are so high but I don't know why we can't transform that into matches."
