Moloney faces old friends
June 19, 2008
The meeting of Carlow and Kilkenny in the Leinster MHC semi final on Saturday sets up an intriguing affair as the Barrowsiders will be faced by a familiar face.
For only four years ago, Michael Moloney was lining out for the Carlow under-14 hurlers alongside many of the side that will take to the field on Saturday.
The former St Mullin's hurler moved home with his family across the border to Kilkenny and he now plies his trade with the Black and Whites club.
Moloney has continued to develop into an emerging talent and was part of the Kilkenny minor squad last year playing in the quarter and semi finals.
On Saturday, he will meet a number of old friends as the Cats set about reaching another Leinster final and they go into the match as strong favourites.
