All to play for in SHC

May 30, 2008
The second round of matches in the Kilkenny senior hurling championship take place over the coming weekend with a number of exciting matches in store. The action kicks off on Friday evening when O'Loughlin Gaels take on Graigue/Ballycallan in Callan and the latter will be looking for a much improved performance this time around. Also on Friday evening is the meeting of Clara and Fenians in Castlecomer. This could be a very close match and may end in a draw. Carrickshock will be hoping to see off the challenge of Dicksboro when they meet in Bennettsbridge, but they will be met by a stern test from the city men. The clash of Tullaroan and Dunnamaggin could well be the tie of the round as both sides are playing outstanding hurling, but Dunamaggin may just shade it. There are two games on Saturday as St Martin's will be confident of causing an upset against James Stephen's in Ballyragget, while defending champions Ballyhale Shamrocks will be favourites against Young Irelands.
