Mayo booked their place against Sligo in the ESB Connacht MFC semi final after seeing off Roscommon by four points at McHale Park, Castlebar. Mayo 0-12 Roscommon 0-8 The home side went in at the interval with a 0-8 to 0-3 lead to their credit with half of their scores coming from the inspiring Daniel O'Hara in at corner forward for the Westerners. Roscommon put together a second-half comeback which saw them register five points. However, Mayo were only outscored by one point in the second period and they held out for a four-point victory over the Rossies come the full time whistle. Tweet
