Champions lose their crown

March 23, 2008
Defending Ulster U21 champions Armagh came a cropper at Ballybofey when they lost out by 0-10 to 1-11 to a dynamic Donegal side. It was nip and tuck for most of the match with Donegal nabbing their goal in the first half courtesy of a Christopher Murrin strike. However it was in the second half that the hosts really showed their mettle following Michael Boyle's top class save to deny Armagh's David McKenna a goal eight minutes into the second half. The hosts took inspiration from Boyle's heroics to go on and notch five points with Stephen Griffin's effort starting the hosts' off on their run to victory.
