Flynn to miss Waterford SHC final

Waterford's Paul Flynn
Paul Flynn looks set to miss Ballygunner's showdown with Ballyduff Upper in Sunday's Waterford SHC final at Walsh Park. The prolific attacker has been sidelined since he was forced off with an ankle injury in Waterford's hugely traumatic All-Ireland semi-final loss to Limerick last August, and fears that he will miss out on Ballygunner's big day. "I've been only able to do very light training and my movement is still very restricted," he explained. "Obviously it's a very disappointing situation for me as a county final is always a tremendous occasion, and it's a great honour to play with your club in one," added Flynn, who is bidding to win his eighth county championship medal.
