30 October 2007Paul Flynn looks set to miss Ballygunners showdown with Ballyduff Upper in Sundays Waterford SHC final at Walsh Park.
The prolific attacker has been sidelined since he was forced off with an ankle injury in Waterfords hugely traumatic All-Ireland semi-final loss to Limerick last August, and fears that he will miss out on Ballygunners big day.
"Ive been only able to do very light training and my movement is still very restricted," he explained.
"Obviously its a very disappointing situation for me as a county final is always a tremendous occasion, and its a great honour to play with your club in one," added Flynn, who is bidding to win his eighth county championship medal.
