Offaly's impressive tally of 1-26 scored against Laois in the opening round of the Leinster championship has made many people including Kilkenny manager Brian Cody sit up and take notice. The defending All-Ireland champions begin their campaign against Offaly at Croke Park on Sunday week and although the Cats will be favourites, Cody is taking nothing for granted. "Offaly scored 1-26. That tells its own story, I was very impressed. This is a very dangerous game for Kilkenny. Physically Offaly are a big team, and they are not at all afraid of facing Kilkenny," said Cody. "In fact, they have let it be known that they are eagerly looking forward to the clash." Kilkenny resumed training this week and are due to meet tonight (Friday) at Nowlan Park before winding down their preparations next week.
