Offaly in cruise control

May 06, 2007
Offaly strolled to a facile 3-24 to 1-7 win over Kildare in a lop-sided Leinster MHC clash at Clane. The Ger Coughlan-trained side leaped into the lead with a goal after one minute through a Daniel Currams goal. The Faithful County had 1-8 on the board before James Phelan opened Kildare's account. Phelan later got a goal for the home side but Offaly still led by 2-13 to 1-2 at the interval. Offaly proceeded to have things very much their own way in the second half and a third goal from Nigel Dunne put extra polish on Offaly's winning margin.
