Cork captain admits the pressure is on

May 04, 2007
Cork U21 football captain Andrew O'Sullivan has admitted that there is a great degree of expectation that the Rebels can finally add an All-Ireland crown to their many underage provincial titles. Cork have won four Munster under 21 titles in a row but O'Sullivan says, ahead of his side's meeting in the final tomorrow (Saturday) with Laois, that with 13 of the current team overage for next year, the pressure is on to win the final. "A lot of the fellows realise that it's very important to win the All-Ireland," said the Castletownbere clubman. "We've all got Munster medals but what's eluding us is this (All-Ireland) medal so we've got to show hunger and desire on Saturday to get the win. "The pressure is coming on us because this is the last chance saloon but we need to step up to mark. "The Armagh win in the semi-final was a tough one but this is the most important game of the year and what we've trained for all year," concluded O'Sullivan.
