Connelly not kidded by easy win

April 09, 2007
Noel Connelly, joint manager of Mayo's Under 21 football team, says his side's emphatic 1-22 to 1-8 Connacht final win over Roscommon will mean nothing ahead of their entry into the All-Ireland series. Connelly was pleased by the result but acknowledged that hitting the high notes in the last four of the All-Ireland race has now to be their priority. "I suppose it was an easy enough win overall, but hopefully we can lift it again for the All-Ireland semi-final," said Connelly. "You would be worried sometimes about winning a game as easily as that, so we just have to knuckle down and get ourselves right for the next day," he added.
