Hickey to visit eye specialist

Noel Hickey
Kilkenny full back Noel Hickey will visit an eye specialist this week to find out if he can resume training with the county squad. The former All-Star, who missed a big chunk of last year's championship with a heart ailment, recently had laser treatment for an eye injury and is hoping to resume playing as soon as possible. Henry Shefflin will be sidelined for another three weeks due to a groin problem, but Martin Comerford could be back for Sunday's NHL showdown with Limerick at the Gaelic Grounds. Comerford has been out of action for the past five months with a groin injury, but came on as a substitute in last weekend's challenge match against Cork.
