Colm Cooper
Kerry star Colm Cooper has confessed that competition for places on the Kingdom's first XV to face Tyrone in this year's All-Ireland SFC final has the Munstermen firing on all cylinders right now.
'Gooch' maintains that the intensity of the Kerry training sessions is such that each player is 100 per cent wound up to give of his best if selected for any given match.
"It is very competitive.
"Training is fierce at the moment and you need that and I think that is why we are probably getting the maximum out of every guy at training at the moment.
"Everyone is vying for places and everyone wants to be playing in an All-Ireland final.
"Even the older guys who have played in the All-Ireland finals before are still hungry for places.
"Guys are really pushing and they will be pushing for places over the next few weeks for places.
"You never know what team Jack will put out for the final."
