Sligo's David Kelly tackles Joe McMahon of Tyrone

Joe McMahon has handed Tyrone a boost ahead of their All-Ireland SFC quarter-final fixture on Saturday week.

The Irish News reports that the experienced McMahon has proven his fitness by playing his first full game of the year for Omagh St Enda's last weekend.

The two-time All-Ireland winner has been training away with the Red Hands but a series of injury set-backs has meant he has yet to feature in a match day squad.

His last game in the county colours was the 2015 All-Ireland SFC semi-final defeat to Kerry.

In other news, Mattie Donnelly and Ronan O'Neill both picked up knocks playing for Trillick and Omagh respectively in the round of league games but both are expected to be fit for the game against Cork, Mayo or Westmeath.
