Na Piarsaigh are still alive and kicking in their quest to retain their Limerick SHC title after hammering a hapless Bruree by 7-22 to 0-2 in Clarina last night.
The All-Ireland club champions were in danger of making an early exit from the county championship after losing their first two group games, but bounced back in impressive fashion against a Bruree team that had three players sent off.
Na Piarsaigh led by 1-15 to 0-1 at the break before going on a goal-scoring spree in the second half. Shane Dowling helped himself to 2-6, while David Sheppard finished with 3-2.
In last night's other Limerick SHC encounter, 2015 All-Ireland finalists Kilmallock - who defeated Na Piarsaigh in the first round - scored the last three points to earn a 2-18 to 3-15 draw with Ballybrown.
