Kerry's fundraising campaign for a new training facility shows no sign of abating after a further €330,000 was raised in London for the ambitious project.

The plan to develop the €5.8m Centre of Excellence for all Kingdom teams at Currans was launched in October 2013 and is almost fully paid for following this latest donation. Croke Park, the Munster Council and sponsors Kerry Group have already each donated €1m, while another €1m was raised between Friends of Kerry and lottery funding.

In June, it was revealed that over €1 million was realised from special events, auctions and golf outings held in Boston, New York and Chicago.

The Irish Examiner reports that Kerry manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice, captain Kieran Donaghy, Paul Galvin and double All-Ireland winning minor manager Jack O'Connor were on hand at the Kerry Association in London's dinner dance in Cricklewood last weekend to collect the €330,000 cheque, which was raised at a fundraising banquet in June.
