Derrygonnelly manager Martin Greene dedicated his side's Fermanagh SFC triumph to the family of Damian McGovern.

Yesterday's final against holders Roslea had been postponed by a week following the tragic death of the Harps underage chairman in a work-related accident.

"There was a real outpouring of emotion there at the final whistle," Greene noted in the Irish News.

"The McGovern family were deep in our minds and deep in our hearts today and we dedicate that win to Damian's family and I am very proud of those players today, they did the whole club proud."

Greene says Derrygonnelly are relishing the challenge of facing reigning provincial kingpins Slaughtneil in the Ulster club SFC preliminary round.

"We have five county men and four or five county U21s and a county minor and we want to go there and compete with the best and why not? Fermanagh football is doing well at the minute and we want to go and put ourselves on the map," he added.
