Kerry SHC final: Collins leads Kilmoyley to glory

Kilmoyley 3-15

St. Brendan's, Ardfert 1-13

Daniel Collins' haul of 2-10 was crucial as Kilmoyley saw off Ardfert to claim their 23rd Kerry SHC title and first in six years at sunny Abbeydorney.

Collins won an All-Ireland club intermediate football medal with Ardfert last February, but was their tormentor-in-chief on this occasion as the John Meyler-managed Kilmoyley men emerged as comfortable winners.

John Egan had two early points for St. Brendan's, but a Collins goal directly from a free in the 15th minute helped the winners to a 1-10 to 0-6 half-time lead.

Egan closed the gap with early second half points, but further Kilmoyley goals from Micheal Regan and Collins, either side of a Darren Wallace strike for Ardfert, put the result beyond doubt.
