Midleton's Cork SHC ambitions have been boosted by the news that Conor Lehane's recovery from a quad muscle injury is well ahead of schedule.
The county star was expected to miss the rest of the season after sustaining the injury in a challenge match against Waterford outfit Tallow a month ago. But the Evening Echo reports that he is set to be included in the Midleton squad for Sunday's Cork SHC semi-final against Glen Rovers.
Lehane could come into contention for a starting place if the Magpies were to reach the county final against either Sarsfields or Erin's Own on October 11.
