Limerick have announced that Joe Quaid will not be seeking reappointment to the position of Limerick senior camogie team manager for the 2016 season.

In a statement today, the Treaty camogie board paid tribute to Quaid: "Limerick County Board would like to thank Joe for his time and commitment to Limerick Camogie over the past three years. He did trojan work and brought great success to Limerick Camogie. We wish him every happiness and good fortune for the future  and similar success in whatever role he may take on.

"Joe took over management of the county team at a low point for Limerick Camogie and in his first season in charge secured a Division Two League title and a place in the All-Ireland Intermediate Final. The following year the team went one better securing the title at the second time of asking. 2014 also saw Limerick secure Minor, Junior A and Division 4 League titles and Joe worked closely with those management teams to ensure Limerick Camogie as a whole was moving in a positive direction. His efforts in 2014 also saw him recognised as Manager of the Year. 2015 saw Limerick get to the semi-finals of the League and strong performances in what was a very tough draw in the Senior Championship means Joe leaves Limerick Camogie in a very strong state.

"Limerick County Board will now commence the process of looking for Joe's successor and with the squad and structures now in place look forward to building on the work done by Joe and his team."
