Cavan manager Terry Hyland is on the lookout for a new selector following the decision of Anthony Forde to step down.
The Ulster senior and U-21 winner from Cavan Gaels has been a selector with Hyland since 2012 and, speaking to The Anglo Celt, the manager confirmed: "Anthony is just taking a break.
"In fairness, he is very busy with work and he has a young family and he decided to take a break this year.
"Anthony has been a very loyal supporter of Cavan football for a long number of years, both on the field and on the other side of the white line.
"I expect he will re-appear some time along the line, if not with Cavan then with a club because he's very passionate about football, he's very dedicated and he has a lot to offer."
As regards a replacement for Forde, Hyland added: "We'll sit down and see. We'll think it through, there's no panic on it."
