Kerry 2-14
Tipperary 1-11

Conor Geaney was the star man as Kerry bagged a third Munster MFC title in-a-row at Tipperary's expense in Fitzgerald Stadium.

The Kingdom ace, a first cousin of senior players Paul and Michael Geaney, finished the contest with 1-5 to his name and his 9th minute goal set the tone as the match as the hosts held the upper hand throughout the 60 minutes.

Jack O'Connor's charges went in at the break with a 2-8 to 0-6 advantage after Cormac Linnane raised a second green flag in the 14th minute.

To their credit, the Premier County outscored the team in green and gold by 1-5 to six points after the resumption but the damage was done for their point of view.

Aidan Buckley netted the goal for the Charlie McGeever managed visitors but they were powerless to prevent Kerry from collecting their 44th provincial title at the grade.

Tipp can console themselves with the fact that they remain in the All-Ireland hunt and will face the Connacht champions in an All-Ireland quarter-final while the Kingdom await the Connacht runners-up in the last eight.
