Seamus Harnedy is confident he will be fit for Cork's Munster SHC showdown against Waterford.

The 2013 All Star picked up a hamstring injury in the league final defeat to the Deise but his recovery has gone according to plan in recent weeks.

"I have been training away the last few weeks," he revealed to The Irish Daily Star.

"So I really wasn't away from the Cork set-up - but a lot of lads are back in from the senior Cork championship games at the weekend.

"I did a bit of damage to my hamstring late on but thank God it's after making a good recovery and hopefully I'll put my name in the hat for Waterford.

"I'm making good progress, nearly back into full training. You'd miss being stuck in training with the lads instead of rehabilitation every night of the week."
