Tyrone Chairperson Roisin Jordan

Tyrone chairperson Roisin Jordan has paid tribute to Tipperary for their achievement in reaching the All-Ireland U21 FC final.

The Red Hands edged out the Premier County in a tight encounter at Parnell Park on Saturday. While the nature of the defeat left a sour taste in Tipp mouths, Tyrone GAA have moved to dispel any bad feelings simmering between the two counties in the aftermatch of the match:

"I applaud Tipperary for their total commitment to an enthralling match," Jordan says in The Irish News. "Losing in an All-Ireland final is very tough. However, getting to that final was a great achievement for Tipperary and I wish them well as they strive to build on this.

"The game was in the balance to the final whistle. However, the Tyrone men battled tenaciously and managed to hold onto their lead to win the game.

"On behalf of Tyrone supporters everywhere, I extend congratulations to out victorious management and players."
