Waterford manager Derek McGrath has stressed that they will go out all guns blazing in the NHL final.

The Deise and Cork will do battle in the NHL decider on Sunday week and then three weeks later, they meet in the Munster championship.

Waterford could be forgiven for focusing all the energies on the provincial clash, but McGrath stressed to the Waterford News & Star that was certainly not the case.

"Our journey is a small bit different than Cork's. Cork were in an All-Ireland final against Clare and a semi-final against Galway the year previous to that. They won a Munster championship. The league final is absolutely everything, it's the year all in one," said McGrath.

"It's not a case of us being able to park the league final and say that we only had our eye on the championship. That's what bigger counties do traditionally. Our league final is everything to us."
