Daithi Regan and Johnny Pilkington came out of retirement today to help Birr's third team to a winning start in the Offaly JHC.
The former Offaly and Birr All-Ireland winners, who are a combined age of 92, played their part in Birr's victory over Gracefield at St. Brendan's Park.
For well-known hurling pundit Regan, it was a first appearance in the red and green in 15 years.
Fair play to ye lads!
