Cribbin lost for words

Westmeath manager Tom Cribben

Westmeath manager Tom Cribbin admits that he is at a loss as to why his charges form has dipped so dramatically.

Having started the Division Two campaign so brightly, the Midlanders are now staring relegation in the face, having lost their last three matches.

Their fate is now out of their hands as even a win against high flying Roscommon will not guarantee safety.

And Cribbin told the Westmeath Examiner that he can't explain why their form has dropped in recent weeks.

"The effort in training is unbelievable," stressed Cribbin. "They are at it five nights a week between their own gym sessions and the pitch.

"This is not easily solved. Next weekend is a huge game and you wouldn't be looking forward to it the way we are, being honest."
