Captain Hugh Gallagher admits Omagh St. Enda's have surpassed all expectations by reaching the Ulster club SFC final.

Having won their first Tyrone SFC title in 26 years at the end of September, the county town side have since beaten Crossmaglen and St. Eunan's to qualify for their first senior provincial decider against Slaughtneil.

"At the start of the year, we would never have thought about an Ulster Club final in our wildest dreams," Gallagher told the Tyrone Constitution.

"We'll keep doing what Larry (Strain) and Barry (McGinn) have been saying all along, just go one game at a time, and this is where we have ended up, and it's great to be here.''

Omagh had to dig deep to see off St. Eunan's last Sunday after a strong last 20 minutes from the Donegal champions.

"You come to expect that now, you wouldn't have it any other way. We knew it was going to be tough," continued Gallagher.

"We were all expecting a real, tight, dogged affair, but it was probably a bit more open than we would have liked in our defence and more open than we would have expected.

"We thought they were going to play two men at the back, but they went man to man, and I think it suited our men up front, so I was happy enough with that.''
