Tom McGlinchey is set to be ratified as the new manager of the Waterford footballers at a county board meeting next week.
The Cork man, who was in charge of Tipperary between 2000 and 2003 and guided Ballylanders to a Limerick SFC title in 2007, will take over the reins from Niall Carew.
McGlinchey also managed Limerick at minor and U21 level and has been nominated for the senior role, most recently in 2013.
