Killian Young admits Kerry learned valuable lessons from Donegal's All-Ireland semi-final victory over Dublin.

The Ulster champions stunned the holders with a magnificent display in Croke Park on August 31st and the Kingdom were determined to ensure that the same fate wouldn't befall them in Sunday's Sam Maguire Cup decider:

"It was the Dublin game which showed us the lessons of what to do," Renard clubman Young states in The Irish News. "Dublin panicked in the second half and they all drove on.

"That's what Donegal want you to do. We knew what was expected of us. We had the game plan; it was a matter of sticking to it. Not to blink first, basically. We held our shape.

"It was a matter of which of the two teams would blink first. We kept it together and we didn't panic at any stage.

"I know the crowd was egging us on but we knew that Donegal wanted us to go forward.. We kept our patience and we stuck to the game plan throughout the 70 minutes."
