Mayo feature at the All-Ireland semi-final stage for the fourth consecutive year and Munster champions Kerry stand between them and a third final appearance in-a-row.

Manager James Horan scored a goal the last time the Connacht county overcame the Kingdom in championship back in 1996 and Kerry have held the upper hand in their last five championship clashes, including three finals.

"We have had a good few battles with these guys over the last number of years in national league and championship," Horan said in the build-up.

"We know that if we prepare as well as we can, do everything we can, get guys in the right place then we are competitive, as I keep saying, against any team in the country. That is all we are looking to do, prepare as well as we can."

James O'Donoghue's scoring exploits have lit up the championship so far this year and Eamonn Fitzmaurice will be looking for more of the same from the Legion ace tomorrow.

The Kerry boss is expecting a tough encounter:  "They have a lot of the hallmark of champions about them and have been very, very close the last couple of years.

"In neither game did they get any breaks that you need to win an All-Ireland final, particularly a tight All-Ireland final.

"So they are a serious, serious group. They have an edge about them and if we are going to beat them, we will have to be at our best."
