Tyrone GAA have confirmed that both Tony Donnelly and Fergal McCann have resigned from their roles within the county senior football management team.

Donnelly (assistant manager) and McCann (trainer) have been part of Mickey Harte's set-up since 2005 when the O'Neill County won the All-Ireland for a second time in three years. In 2008, Kerry's three-in-a-row bid was halted as a third Sam Maguire crown was captured.

Tyrone also won three Ulster SFC's during their time involved.

Harte has paid tribute to the duo in a statement released by Tyrone GAA this evening:

"I wish to thank both men for their loyal support during the challenges we have faced over the past 10 seasons.

"They have given great service to Tyrone and to myself during their tenure and I wish both the best for the future."

County Board Chairman Ciaran McLaughlin also thanked them for their huge commitment:

"The GAA in Tyrone owe a debt of gratitude to Tony and Fergal for their work over the past decade.

"Since becoming involved with the Senior Team in 2005, both played a major role in all our successes.

"On behalf of Coiste Chontae Tír Eoghain and the whole GAA community in Tyrone, I wish them every success."
