McNamee has another cut at county board

Niall McNamee clearly isn't happy with the Offaly county board if his recent tweets are anything to go by.

Following Offaly's All-Ireland SF qualifier defeat to Wicklow on Saturday evening, the team captain criticised GAA chiefs in the Faithful County for not giving Emmet McDonnell and his management team enough support during their two-year tenure.

"Very sorry for Emmet and the lads..They gave it everything but were given little or no support from the top. I wish them all well," he tweeted.

The Rhode star took the Twitter again today to have another swipe at the county board for not enquiring about his attacking colleague Ken Casey's well-being. Casey is facing up to a year out of the game after suffering a cruciate ligament injury on his Westmeath SFC defeat for St. Loman's against Killucan last Sunday week.

McNamee said: "Speedy recovery to @The_Dredge_ who will undergo surgery on his torn acl over the coming weeks...after giving the best part of 8 years. To Offaly it's a pity no one at county board level has attempted to make any contact with him to see how he is..."
