The latest row between the county and clubs in Donegal involves the minor football squad.

Clubs have been up in arms all year over the scheduling and rescheduling of matches in order to cater for the county senior footballers.

However, club delegates were furious at the most recent county board meeting when they alleged that county minor manager Declan Bonner had banned his players from lining out with their clubs.

The county board stressed that they would look into the matter and County Board Children's Officer Mick McGrath stressed that Bonner denies issuing a ban.

"I have never heard the manager mention a ban and I have also spoke to him about it and he denies that he has imposed any ban," the Donegal Democrat reports McGrath as stating at the meeting.

"He insisted that he had not imposed a ban and went on to say that he did not have the right to tell players not to play with their clubs."

A number of club delegates present at the meeting stressed that their county minor players had been told not to line out for their respective clubs.
