Five players have been added to Leitrim's training squad ahead of the championship.

Leitrim's Connacht championship opener against Roscommon at Dr Hyde Park on Sunday, May 18th is just over three weeks away and manager Sean Hagan is expected to finalise his 30-man summer squad in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, brothers Conor and Mark Beirne (Eslin), Mohill duo Shane Quinn and Alan McLoughlin, and Barry McWeeney (Aughnasheelin) have all joined the training panel.

However, The Leitrim Observer is reporting that county minor football boss and senior Leitrim goalkeeper Enda Lyons has left the senior squad to focus on his commitments with the minors, who recently won the Connacht minor league. Tweet
