Dr Crokes' joint-managers Noel O'Leary and Vince Casey have been forced to step down in the wake of last month's All-Ireland club SFC semi-final loss to Castlebar Mitchel's.

Radio Kerry is reporting that a request for a change of management was sought and accepted at a recent club meeting. Neither O'Leary nor Casey would comment on the matter.

The duo had been in charge for the past two years, having replaced Harry O'Neill in February 2012. Under their guidance, the Killarney club won a pair of Kerry and Munster club championships, but All-Ireland honours proved elusive. O'Leary was a member of the All-Ireland winning Crokes team of 1992.

Whoever takes over must plan without Colm Cooper for the rest of the season after the Kerry captain ruptured his cruciate ligament in the aforementioned defeat to Castlebar.
