Munster club SFC: Cratloe win again

November 17, 2013
Cratloe (Clare) 1-10
Ballinacourty (Waterford) 0-11

A memorable weekend for Cratloe has ended with the east Clare outfit qualifying for a Munster club SFC final showdown with Dr. Crokes.

Colm Collins' charges came from behind to beat Ballinacourty at Cusack Park this afternoon - just 24 hours after they claimed their first Clare SFC title at the same venue courtesy of a 0-10 to 0-7 victory over Doonbeg.

The sides were level on 0-2 each early on, but the visitors went on to lead by 0-6 to 0-5 at the break. Early in the second half, Conor McGrath - one of eight Clare All-Ireland hurling winners in the Cratloe squad - scored the only goal to level proceedings, 1-5 to 0-8.

Ballinacourty replied with two quick points, only for Cathal McInerney to bring Cratloe onto level terms once again. By now, Brendan Bugler was on for Cratloe and they never looked back after Liam Markham edged them ahead near the end.

Conor McGrath and Richie Foley both saw red in the closing stages.
