Explainer: GAA video outlines football rule changes

November 05, 2013
The changes to the rules of gaelic football come into operation on 1 January 2014 and the GAA is trying to educate players and supporters before they come into effect.

The new black card rule is among the changes that will come into the game, which will see players being removed from the game with a substitute coming into their place for five new punishable offences.

This, along with all the other changes and other issues are covered in a new video which the GAA has produced, which shows examples of fouls which will fall foul of the new rules.

Marty Morrissey along with referee David Coldrick and Chairman of the National Referees' Committee Pat McEnaney tease out the changes, which will come into effect for all games played in 2014 and onwards.
